The size of the victory doesn't give a fair reflection on the amount of effort put in by a spirited Newquay side. The Truro forwards rucked and mauled well in this game and released the dangerous back line on every possible occasion.

Logan Berryman on the wing ran in 6 tries most of which were scored from a fair distance out and requiring the beating of several defenders on his way to the line.

The Truro squad look forward to the return of their injured players, Rob, Aric, Jay and Karl.

Truro 5 Winchester 12

An early season hard fought game between Truro and Hampshire county champions saw Truro narrowly lose by 7 points.

This was only the second Sunday back together as a squad and there was certainly some rustiness in the way the team played.

Truro started well, tackling everything that moved, but ran out of steam as the first half progressed.

Winchester were slightly better organised throughout the match but the encouraging thing was that Truro finished the game the stronger of the two sides.
